A Grounded Expectation

When you buy from Beyond the Pale Farm, you’re not buying from a warehouse.


You’re stepping into a relationship with a real farm, real animals, and a seasonal system that doesn’t operate on instant fulfillment.


These terms exist to keep that relationship clear, fair, and honest on both sides.


1. Nature of What We Offer

Our products are:

  • Raised in small batches 
  • Seasonal and limited in availability 
  • Rooted in biological systems—not industrial consistency 

That means:

  • Cuts and bundle contents may vary slightly 
  • Availability is limited and may sell out quickly 
  • Timing can shift based on real-world conditions 

We do our best to communicate clearly, but farming is not a fixed system.


2. Orders & Payment

  • All prices are listed in USD 
  • Full payment is required at the time of purchase 
  • Orders are confirmed once payment is received 

Because our products are limited, we are not able to hold or reserve items without payment.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if necessary.


3. Product Availability

All products are offered in limited quantities and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We may occasionally offer early access or notifications through our email list, but joining the list does not guarantee product availability.


4. Local Pickup (Fresh Pork Bundles)

Fresh pork bundles are available for local pickup only.

You will receive:

  • A scheduled pickup date 
  • A designated time window 
  • Instructions for pickup 


Your responsibility:

  • Arrive within the pickup window 
  • Bring appropriate cooler/freezer space 


5. Missed Pickup

If you are unable to make your scheduled pickup:

  • You must contact us as soon as possible 
  • We will do our best to accommodate a reschedule 

However:

  • Rescheduling is not guaranteed 
  • Orders not picked up and without communication may be forfeited without refund 


6. Shipping (Shelf-Stable Products Only)

Shelf-stable products (such as salami) may be available for shipping.

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by carriers 
  • Damage occurring during transit (though we will work with you if issues arise) 

Please ensure your shipping information is accurate at checkout.


7. Product Handling & Responsibility

Once your order has been picked up or delivered:

  • You assume full responsibility for proper storage and handling 
  • We are not responsible for spoilage or mishandling after transfer 


8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beyond the Pale Farm is not liable for:

  • Delays outside our control (weather, processing, shipping carriers, etc.) 
  • Individual dietary reactions or sensitivities 
  • Improper storage or handling after pickup or delivery 


9. Communication

We commit to:

  • Clear and timely communication 
  • Honest updates about availability and timing 

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact information 
  • Monitor your email or messages for important updates regarding your order 


10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions as the farm evolves.

Continued use of our website or purchase of our products constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Return and Refund Policy

A Simple Commitment

We stand behind the food we raise.

At the same time, what we offer is not a typical product sitting on a shelf—it’s the result of a living system, raised with intention and processed in small batches.

This policy exists to keep expectations clear and fair for everyone involved.


1. Orders & Payment

All products are sold as limited-availability bundles or small-batch goods.

  • Full payment is required at the time of purchase 
  • Orders are confirmed once payment is received 

Because our inventory is limited and often sells quickly, we are not able to hold or reserve products without payment.


2. Product Type & Returns

We offer both fresh, perishable products and shelf-stable cured goods, and they are handled differently.


Fresh Pork Bundles

Because these are perishable and require proper handling:

  • We do not accept returns 
  • We do not offer refunds after pickup 

Once the product leaves our care, storage conditions are no longer within our control.


Shelf-Stable Products (Salami & Cured Meats)

Our salami and cured products are shelf-stable and made to last, but they are still food products produced in small batches.

Because of this:

  • We do not accept returns of opened products 
  • If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or compromised, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery 

If there is a legitimate issue, we will make it right with:

  • A replacement 
  • Or store credit 


A Note on Quality

We take pride in producing food that is both safe and exceptional.

If something doesn’t meet that standard, we want to hear from you.


3. If There Is an Issue

In the rare case of:

  • Product quality concerns 
  • Incorrect orders 
  • Significant issues 

Please contact us within:

  • 24 hours of pickup (fresh products) 
  • 48 hours of delivery (shelf-stable products)

We will review the situation and, if appropriate, offer:

  • A replacement 
  • Store credit 
  • Or another reasonable resolution 

This is handled on a case-by-case basis.


4. Pickup Policy (Fresh Pork Bundles)

Fresh pork bundles are local pickup only.

You will receive:

  • A pickup date 
  • A time window 
  • Instructions 


Your responsibility:

  • Arrive on time 
  • Bring adequate cooler/freezer space 


If You Miss Pickup

If you are unable to make your scheduled pickup:

  • You must contact us as soon as possible 
  • We will do our best to coordinate an alternative 

However:

  • Rescheduling is not guaranteed 
  • Orders not picked up and without communication may be forfeited without refund 


5. Order Fulfillment Issues

If we are unable to fulfill your order due to factors on our end (processing delays, inventory issues, etc.):

  • You will be offered either a refund or credit 


6. Our Philosophy

We believe in fairness over fine print.

We are committed to:

  • Raising food with integrity 
  • Communicating clearly 
  • Making things right when they genuinely go wrong 

And we ask the same level of respect and understanding in return.
